Dare You Not To Squirm of the Day: A Chinese man had to have a six-inch eel removed from his bladder after the serpentine sea-dweller swam up his urethra while he was undergoing an “eel cleanse” he hoped would make him look younger.

56-year-old Zhang Nan of Honghu, Hubei province was immersed in a bath full of live eels when he felt a pain he immediately attributed to an eel attempting to breach his member. “I tried to hold it and take it out,” he says, “but the eel was too slippery to be held and it disappeared up my penis.”

Zhang rushed to the hospital, where doctors were able to extract the curious critter after a three-hour operation. Sadly, the eel did not survive the ordeal.

“The diameter of the urethra in a man’s penis is just a little narrower,” explained surgeon Jin Wang, “but because eels are quite slippery, its body worked as a lubricant and so it got into the penis smoothly.”

The more you know, the less you want to know.
